When approached by a local Vendor to review and report on their capabilities to enter the E-House market, EQ-House were happy to provide its expertise so this substantial fabrication business could now move into a diversified yet targeted E-House business.
We base our audit around three main criteria being;
- Core technical knowledge
- Operational processes and standards
- Marketing and Commercial skills
The preliminary audit was conducted during the course of a one week visit to the company by our Managing Director Mr Jason Lacey. Everything went smoothly and this was made easier by the Vendor’s staff being very supportive of change and constructive in their engagement.
Whilst on-site we were able to engage with the staff and offer our insights into what to expect by way of challenges and behaviours of the E-House markets globally.
The Audit identified a number of readiness benchmarks that OEMs look for when engaging with an E-House Manufacturer, some of these being:
- Facility; having a good balance of undercover and hardstand, flexible work areas
- Design & Engineering capabilities
- Estimation; understanding specifications, applying standards and optimising designs
- Quality; a system that is backed by process
Jump forward a few months and EQ-House are now working with our Vendor to assist with Client interface, initial FEED, design completion, process implementation and hitting first milestones for baseframe completion on their first project.
