Asbestos: Fixing The Problem

Asbestos in E-Houses is a common and substantial issue.

There are thousands of E-Houses out there with Asbestos in them and they are still being produced. The market is becoming aware of the problem and starting to check. As they discover the undesirable they revisit contracts and specifications and chase the Package Supplier to provide a solution.

There are 3 core options available:

  1. Seal the Asbestos in the building and provide signage to alert future works providers of the risk.
  2. Remediate the structure.
  3. Replace the structure.

Typically clients won’t accept 1) except as a temporary protective measure while a Remediation or replacement solution is developed.

The challenge in Remediation and replacement is not just removing the Asbestos its the process of taking an E-House and all of its contained equipment offline and then putting it all back together again.

  • Isolating the E-House,
  • Removing the equipment,
  • Safely removing the Asbestos material,
  • Installing Asbestos free materials
  • Reinstalling the equipment and cabling “As Built”
  • Testing & Commissioning the Equipment.
